Explore The Real Aruba

The Best of both worlds

At Flamingo Bay Villas, you’re not just visiting Aruba… you’re experiencing the side most people never see.

Located in Savaneta, on the south of Aruba, this is where the island slows down. Away from the high-rise hotels, busy beaches, and crowded tourist areas, Savaneta offers a more relaxed, authentic way to experience Aruba — without ever feeling far from it all.

Spend your days discovering Mangel Halto Beach, one of Aruba’s most beautiful hidden spots, known for its calm, crystal-clear waters, mangroves, and incredible sunsets. Explore the local area, where life moves at an easier pace, and evenings are best spent by the sea.

You’ll also find some of the island’s most loved restaurants just minutes away. Enjoy dinner at Flying Fishbone, where tables sit right in the water, visit Zeerovers for freshly caught seafood in a laid-back setting, or unwind at The Old Man and The Sea for a more intimate, romantic experience by the ocean.

This is Aruba without the rush.

Quiet mornings, warm evenings, and space to truly switch off.

And when you’re ready for a change of pace, everything is within easy reach. Eagle Beach, Palm Beach, and Oranjestad are just a

20-minute drive, giving you the perfect balance between vibrant island life and total privacy.

Whether you’re here for relaxation, exploration, or a romantic escape, Flamingo Bay Villas puts you exactly where you want to be.

Mangel Halto Beach & Snorkelling

Just minutes from Flamingo Bay Villas, Mangel Halto Beach is one of Aruba’s most beautiful and peaceful hidden spots. Tucked away on the south coast, this area feels untouched compared to the busier beaches, offering calm, crystal-clear waters framed by mangroves and soft sand.
It’s widely considered one of the best snorkelling spots in Aruba, with vibrant marine life, coral formations, and excellent visibility just a short swim from shore. The shallow, protected water makes it ideal for both relaxed swimming and exploring beneath the surface.
Mangel Halto is also one of the island’s most magical places to end the day. As the sun sets, the sky reflects across the still water, creating a quiet, almost private atmosphere that feels worlds away from the crowds.
Peaceful, natural, and effortlessly beautiful — this is the kind of place you’ll return to again and again.

Savaneta’s Iconic Waterfront Dining

Savaneta is home to some of the most authentic and memorable dining experiences in Aruba, all just minutes from your villa.
At Flying Fishbone, you can enjoy a truly unique setting with tables placed directly in the water, making it one of the most romantic restaurants in Aruba, especially at sunset.
Just along the coast, Zeerovers offers a completely different experience. Fresh fish and shrimp caught daily, served in a laid-back, no-frills setting right by the sea. It’s a true local favourite and a must-visit for anyone wanting to experience Aruba beyond the resorts.
For something more intimate, The Old Man and The Sea offers a beautifully lit waterfront setting, perfect for a slower, more relaxed evening. With its soft lighting, ocean views, and calm atmosphere, it’s ideal for couples looking to unwind and enjoy the moment.
Dining in Savaneta isn’t about rushing, it’s about slowing down, enjoying the surroundings, and experiencing the island the way locals do.

San Nicolas & The Art District

Just a short drive south of Savaneta, San Nicolas offers a completely different side of Aruba: vibrant, creative, and full of character.
Often referred to as the island’s cultural capital, the area has become known for its world-class murals and street art, with large-scale works by international and local artists transforming the town into an open-air gallery. Walking through the streets feels like discovering something new around every corner, making it perfect for a relaxed afternoon of exploring and photography.
Beyond the art, San Nicolas has a strong local food scene and authentic island atmosphere. Here, you’ll find small restaurants and cafés serving traditional dishes, fresh seafood, and Caribbean flavours, all with a laid-back, welcoming vibe that feels a world away from the tourist areas.
It’s colourful, creative, and full of life. A place where you can experience the true spirit of Aruba.

Baby Beach

Located on the southern tip of Aruba, Baby Beach is one of the island’s most iconic and visually stunning beaches. Its large, shallow lagoon and calm, crystal-clear water make it perfect for swimming, floating, and relaxing in warm turquoise water.

The gentle conditions also make it a great spot for snorkelling, especially along the edges of the bay where you can often spot colourful fish — and if you head out early in the morning, you may even be lucky enough to see sea turtles gliding through the water.

The area has a relaxed, easy-going feel, with everything you need for a comfortable beach day. You’ll find sunshade and lounger rentals available, as well as casual beachfront dining at places like Big Mama’s Grill, known for its laid-back atmosphere and local favourites, and Rum Reef, where you can enjoy drinks, food, and ocean views.

Nearby, the recently opened Secrets Baby Beach Aruba has added a new level of luxury to the area, while still preserving the beach’s calm and spacious feel.

Just a short walk away, Rodgers Beach offers a quieter, more local alternative, often with fewer people and equally beautiful water — perfect if you’re looking for an even more peaceful spot to unwind.

With its soft sand, calm sea, and relaxed atmosphere, Baby Beach is the kind of place where you arrive for a couple of hours… and end up staying all day.

Arikok National Park

For a completely different side of Aruba, head into Arikok National Park, where the landscape transforms into rugged coastline, desert terrain, and towering cactus.
This is the island’s untamed side, often referred to as Aruba’s wild north coast, where waves crash dramatically against the rocks and the scenery feels worlds away from the calm beaches.
Explore natural highlights including the Natural Pool (Conchi), a hidden swimming spot carved into the rock and protected from the open ocean, as well as the Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins, a reminder of Aruba’s gold rush past. You can also visit the remains of the Natural Bridge, once one of the island’s most famous landmarks, now partially collapsed but still an impressive stop.
The park is filled with desert trails, caves, and panoramic coastal views, making it perfect for exploring by 4x4, guided tour, or ATV.
On your way, you can also stop at Boca Grandi, a stunning stretch of coastline known for its strong winds and kite surfing, or continue down toward Baby Beach, where you’ll now find the iconic anchor — recently repainted blue to reflect Aruba’s connection to the sea, replacing its former red colour.
Raw, dramatic, and unforgettable… Arikok shows you a side of Aruba most visitors never see.
